How do I convert L/100km to MPG?
To convert L/100km to US MPG, divide 235.21 by the L/100km value. For example, 8 L/100km equals 235.21 / 8 = 29.4 MPG. To convert kmpl to MPG, multiply kmpl by 2.352. For imperial MPG (UK), use 282.48 instead of 235.21.
How can I improve my vehicle's fuel consumption?
To improve fuel consumption, maintain proper tire pressure, avoid aggressive acceleration and hard braking, reduce excess weight, use cruise control on highways, service your engine regularly, and avoid excessive idling. Manufacturer ratings are tested under ideal lab conditions that don't reflect real-world driving. It is normal to see 15-30% higher consumption than the official rating in everyday driving.
